writing poems

i am interested in writing poems   but i am not sure how to go about it can you give  me some assistance.  I have a poem that i wrote and wanted to see what you think of it  to see if i have the talent to  be a poet but dont know how to get it to you.   I would appreciate  if you would send your reply to foxylady1231@q.com. ty kenneth cox
