I'm interested in publishing my novel...

Hello,

My husband knew a girl in high school who got her book published, and she got it published by you. In fact, I'm staring at her book right now. It's "Mystic Desert" by Patrie Davis.

I'm obsessively interested in writing novels, and if it weren't for my husband's persistence, I probably wouldn't be posting this comment right now... I'm a little nervous about getting it published, but I want so badly to have a printed copy of my very own to put on my book shelf. That would be the coolest thing.

I think your company did an excellent job with the book; the print job looks great and the quality is really nice. I think it's rather generous of you to post that helpful information about "shopping around" and finding the best publisher. I've been warned against a few others I've thought about, but i can't find anything wrong with your company as of yet! I don't have dreams of my book becoming famous like Harry Potter or Twilight, but I would really like to finally say I'm a published author, and give my closest friends a copy to keep.

I don't really know the first thing about getting published, though. I have no idea what to do or the questions to ask, really, but I'll give it a shot. How much would it cost me to get my book published with you? Will you even publish my book? Do you have a certain process in which you edit the contents of my book or seek to change anything in it? I have a few more questions, but these are the preliminary ones!

My novel is 197 pages long (Though I'm going through the editing process right now to check for errors and such), and it's in arial font, size 11. Is that too long, or is it alright?

Forgive me that I'm completely unorthodox... I'm doing my best. Please get back to me at your earliest convenience, thank you,
